Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that helps people understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The core idea is that unhelpful or distorted thinking patterns can lead to negative emotions and behaviors, and by changing these thoughts, a person can improve how they feel and act. CBT teaches that our thoughts influence our feelings, which influence our behaviors. By noticing and changing unhelpful thought patterns, a person can break cycles of stress, anxiety, or depression and develop healthier coping strategies
